It took me 3 long calls to Shark to get connected. Ask for advanced tech. Personnel are pleasant and helpful, but the audio quality is terrible. It will not map the house in one sweep. You have to enable recharge and resume - instructions tell you how, but you have to hunt for them in the booklet. Once you get connected, it will seem like forever, but just keep running it and it eventually figures it out - hopefully. Good luck.
