You could but it would fill up quickly. A regular shop vacuum is what I use in areas near my house.

It will suck up all the leaves and find rocks and sand out of your car interior. It will suck up all the dirt out of your potted plant that the cat knocked over. It’s not really a huge shop vac for yard cleanup though.
