I believe that is covered under the 5 year warranty. I have owned my Shark for 4 1/2 years and it hasn’t gone out (not in this model). So I don’t think it’s common belts go out.

With this being said, the Shark Navigator®’s intelligent electronic system will shut off the power nozzle motor to avoid belt wear if the brushroll is blocked by a large object, such as a sock or carpet edge. Simply turn off the power, remove the obstruction, and return to vacuuming. There are no belt maintenance or replacement costs to worry about. We hope this information helps.
