How is the cord stored? null

You wrap it around the two prongs sticking out. There is another notch to hook the cord as your wrapping or if you need it up while you're using attachments.

Wraps around cord notches like most vacuums. It is not a retractable cord.

The cord is not retractable, it wraps around two designated brackets like the older style vacuums. You do have to have the cord completely undone in order to lift the suction handles for accessory attachment.
