• The on/off switch on this vacuum enables the unit to be operated with or without the beater brush in motion. On a vinyl flooring, you would operate the vacuum with the on/off switch in the first position, which is without beater brush action. The suction of this vacuum is powerful.

• You don’t activate the brush for hard surfaces. It should be fine.

With this vacuum, you can turn the brushroll off when you put the vacuum in bare floor mode.
