• No. I leave unplugged after battery is charged. Battery stays fully charged. No need to keep plugged in. I use my vacuum 2x a week. Thank you Have a blessed day.

• Hi Sharon. I don't. I unplug the charger. The vacuum will hold the charge until you turn it back on.

• The book says always run it down to zero charge to condition the battery to take a full charge which takes ~ 3hours.

• I like to drain it dead before plugging it in, always conflicting stories but I believe it prologs its life. I bought a cheapy on the mega site for backup during charge time.
