The handle snaps in place when all the way up & then it stays up. Mine works just fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This vacuum is different in that the motor and heavy parts are in the top rather than the bottom. That make it great for removing and adding on the attachments to do other sorts of cleaning. So, you must lean it up against something or lay it down when you stop or pause as it is top heavy and will not stand alone without support. The instruction guide plus the little tag on the vacuum tell you how to detach and store the top so that it does not topple over. Hope that this helps!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can lean it against a wall for short periods of time but the best way to store it is to install the wall hanger. I would compare it to a mop or broom in how you handle it.
