A:AnswerI use this vacuum frequently and have not had to cut long hair out with scissors.
I initially intended to use it as a spot cleaner, but am now using it as my primary vacuum because I like it so much.
A:AnswerHello Mike,
We are happy to assist you with your inquiry about the Shark - Rocket® Zero-M® Stick Vacuum. The brushroll on this vacuum is powered by a motor and it will spin when vacuuming carpet. This vacuum has a self-cleaning brushroll that delivers nonstop hair removal. It actively removes hair wrapped around the brushroll as you clean. The unique bristle guard and comb separate hair from the brushroll and sucks it into the dust cup.
We hope this information helps.

A:AnswerWe would like to let you know that the brushroll spins in both carpet and barefloor settings. However the brushroll spins at a slower speed in the barefloor setting, and will not damage your floors.
A:AnswerIf you take the top part off as if you were going to use it with an attachment, it actually hangs on the bottom lip of the vacuum cleaner pill. So in that way it does stand up on its own. If you are wondering if it stands when it’s all out of ether then no.
A:AnswerWe would like to let you know to easily access the brushroll there is a cover on the bottom of the floor nozzle that can be removed. To unlock the plate you just need to use something like a coin to turn the 3 screw like circles on the bottom.
A:AnswerWe would like to inform you that the brushroll can not be turned off on this unit.To better assist you with finding the right Shark Vacuum for you, we would recommend reaching out to our Customer Care Team at 1-877-581-7375 Mon.-Fri. 10 a.m.- 7 p.m. ET, Sat. 9 a.m.-6 p.m. ET
