• Yes and honestly I suggest you do that the steam is like a quick surface clean but to really do a good cleaning on a tile floor like mine I have to use a mild chemical, works get even my 7 year old child uses it

• Any time this thing is on, it is producing steam. I’d also imagine running it with no water would Ruin it. So if you don’t mind it steaming AS WELL AS using cleaner, it’ll likely be fine, but it’ll likely wear the pads down more, but you can’t make it spin and scrub without steaming.
