Does this vacuum stand upright on its own? null

It does….the way it works is, you detach the top canister and handle and it attaches to the lower part of the vacuum when not in use so that it stands upright. It’s very simple to do.

Has a tendency to fall over. Need to lean on wall or structure.

We would like to let you know that this unit will not stand up on its own. It would need to be leaned against something or you can remove the handheld from the wand and store it on the storage hook where the bottom of the wand connects to the floor nozzle.
