• Depends on how wet it gets. I've stored them being only slightly wet and it did fine. If it gets saturated I'd throw it out and start fresh. I think when I checked pads were less than $1 so I don't know that it's worth trying to stretch them out to long.

• They recommend you throw it away after every use. The instructions say to store the vacuum without a pad on it. I have stored it for a couple nights with a slightly wet pad and used it again and it did fine. If the pad was overly wet I would dispose of it before letting it sit.
