QuestionIs mounting the same as the Sharp Carousel II Model R-1821?The microwave oven I am replacing is a Carousel II Over the Range Convection Microwave Oven. Model number is R-1821. Will this one mount on the same brackets? Thanks.

- Answer Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding the Sharp R-1821 Microwave Oven. At this time we are not manufacturing any current over the range microwaves that use the same mounting plate. The Sharp R-1821 microwave oven’s external dimensions are 29 7/8” x 16 ½” x 13 ½” (Width x Height x Depth) and is a 1.1 cubic foot model. Currently the only 1.1 cubic foot over the range microwave being manufactured is the R-1871 with external dimensions of 29 15/16” x 16 11/32” x 15 9/32 (Width x Height x Depth). Questiona want a counter top microwave that is 1000 wat or moreI want to be able to service it. I bought a GE microwave and I could not even change the light bulb.

- Answer Thank you for your interest in the R1405 Sharp microwave. This microwave is not consumer repairable, it can only be repaired by a Sharp authorized repair center.

QuestionI have the mode R1405 in my rv. Everything works timer, lights etc. The motor will not start and the turntable does not move. I put a cup of water in for 1 minute and it does not heat. Is there a fuse somewhere?
