Questioni have cabinets on both side will i have a problem with door opening

- Answer If you have typical 12" deep wall cabinets, you will have no problem with door opening as this model protrudes out 3.5" past the cabinet face. If you have a giant handle on the left cabinet door, that could be a problem, but normal doors and handles would allow plenty of clearance.

QuestionCan I put this microwave into the existing microwave cabinet, which is 30 inch wide, 16 inch high and up to 18 inch deep? Or I only should mount it under the cabinet due to ventilation needs?

- Answer I believe it is meant to be mounted under the cabinet and not in a cabinet, due to the venting system. Mine is under the the upper cabinet and the space below it is open. It sits about 10" off the counter .

QuestionPlease clarify whether this model can be used over a stove.1. Can it be used over a stove? 2. Does it have a vent? 3. Can it be vented outside or is it a recirculating vent? Previous answers from Sharp are conflicting. The specs do not specify.

QuestionCan this microwave be built in a cabinet? If so, does it require a trim kit and where can I get a trim kit if needed?

- Answer We mounted ours under the cabinet with the included mount. The only thing we had to purchase additional is longer mounting screws that hold the front of the microwave to the front top of the cabinet. We did not need a trim kit. I don't think you should build it into a cabinet (surrounded by cabinet ) if that is what you're asking.

- Answer Please complete the following steps to mute the sound: lf you wish to have the oven operate with no audible signals, touch CUSTOM HELP , the number E and STOP/CLEAR . To cancel and restore the audible signal, touch CUSTOM HELP , the number E and START/MlNUTE PLUS .

- Answer Hello, we will be more than happy to advise. This unit is a Stainless Steel, the R-1210 however, is the black comparable model.

QuestionI have a microwave wall cabinet and now have counter-top microwave unit. Am looking for 16 in. depth unit. Can I put your over-the-counter microwave in my wall cabinet ? Is the top of your unit closed or open. A space needed between bottom & cabinet?

- Answer Yes, and no. The white model is the R-1211, which is VERY similar to the R-1214. There are a few superficial differences in the cabinet, but the working parts appear to be the same.

- Answer It has a fan that runs when the microwave is in use. However, this is not the type of ventilation you would find in an over-the-stove model (which this is not). The fan simply keeps the interior of the unit cool while it is running. And yes, it does have a light with two brightness settings.

- Answer Yes. The mounting plate screws into studs in the wall, and then the microwave snaps into the mounting plate. The kit also includes toggle bolts (which are used if only one stud is available). It also includes the bolts and fender washers for attaching the microwave to the cabinet above.
