Q: QuestionI have a Sharp 65 LED Tv No.LC65LE645u with no sound

• A:Answer I would recommend that you perform a manual update of the software. Go to Menu > Information > Software Update > Manual Update > Network Update. You will need a wired or wireless network connection to the TV. IF that fails or you can't do that. Then you will need to do a manual update and choose USB. You will need a USB memory stick formatted FAT32. You will need to go to the Sharp web page at http://www.sharpusa.com/Support/ProductDetail.aspx?model=LC-65LE654U Scroll down and look to the left - FIRMWARE UPDATE - download that file to the USB stick. Right click the file and extract all. Rename the file that was extract to "install.img" Insert the usb into the tv - go to manual update - from usb. This takes about 5 minutes and the power light will flash. When it's done the tv will come back up in initial mode - finish the setup like you did when you first bought the tv. The new software fixes a lot of glitches.

Q: QuestionAccessing video content on internet---AdobeDoes this tv have Adobe Flash video capability? The Samsung TV's don't have it and can't download it, so many sites that have streaming videos (like Margaritaville.com live Buffet concerts) won't play on it. I have to connect my laptop to the tv to watch them--so why have a "smart" tv? . How a bout this tv--- is it the same?

• A:Answer Nope, this does not have Flash capability. The "smart" in Smart TV refers to having apps that can access the Internet, such as Netflix. Yes, it has Netflix.

• A:Answer Since you asked this two weeks ago you probably figured out that delivery is free on TVs 51 inches or bigger. The bad news is you're purchasing a piece of junk. It was so new when I bought mine that there were no reviews. Now it has two, both bad. With my first problem, the technicians at Sharp didn't even have the manual yet. (That should have clued me in right there).

Q: QuestionWhite Light or faded black circleWhen I turn my tv on or off there is a circle of white or faded black in the upper right hand corner of the tv. Is this an indication that something is wrong with it?

• A:Answer Sounds like you either have some damage to the screen (can happen when a screen is being mounted and the tv was lifted at the corner) or you have what's known as a 'halo' or 'clouding' on the screen. I believe you should discuss this with the vendor who sold you the screen as you may want to exchange it.

• A:Answer Yes it is a back lit LCD - the back lighting is provided by LEDs. There is a lot of information out on the web as to the main differences. If you would like that technical explanation - Search LED vs LCD. The main difference is how the screen portion works - cold cathode or LED. This is an LED TV.

Q: QuestionHow do I access smart centralI have been trying to figure out how to access smart central I don't see an option for it on the TV and there is a smart button on the remote but it only gives me access to apps that have already been pre-installed. I want to download new apps am u doing something wrong or am I missing something?

• A:Answer If you skip the wireless/wired setup procedure - then for all intensive purposes - it is disabled. I would not recommend this as Sharp does come out with new firmware from time to time that fixes glitches.

• A:Answer Sharp claims 40,000 hours for the LED light. At 8 hours a day, 365 days a year, that's over 13 years. The backlight is usually not user replaceable. You can get it serviced to replace it, but that will usually cost more than the TV. You'll probably want to buy a new TV in 10 years anyway.

Q: QuestionWhy does the TV constantly turn off and re-bootThe tv will turn off after couple hours and turn right back on. All of the settings for energy saving have been appropriately adjusted and it will still do this action. My children will be watching the tv and will call from the other room that it turned off. As i walk into the room it is reloading the SHARP screen and program viewing continues. I have read reviews that this happened to other people with their set as well.

• A:Answer My Sharp 65" Aquos is only 5 weeks old, and has started doing this also!!! I've also gotten the "blue screen of death" where only a blue screen appears when I power on the set. Turning the power switch off and on doesn't fix it. I have to unplug the TV and plug it back in to get it to work. The problems with this Sharp TV started with the blue screen of death. When I called Sharp I was told this was normal...just like a computer. (I haven't gotten a blue screen of death on a computer in a decade.) Now this rebooting problem has started. I would not buy a Sharp TV again...especially after seeing this is not an uncommon problem. The "Sharp" reply to this question doesn't indicate the problem can be resolved. They just say to call them (to sweep the problem under the rug and away from the public view here.) But, I haven't been able to reach a customer service rep since the rebooting started. And, the last thing I want is a lemon TV that will be a problem for years. I never had a single problem with my 8 year old plasma. I only switched to get a larger size TV. What I've gotten is a headache.
