Hi there- The OpenRun Pro can only be used while being connected through Bluetooth. While these are not hearing aids, we do have customers who use them to assist with hearing, usually by pairing the headphones to their phone and accessing a hearing aid app like Petralex, Ear Spy, Ear Trumpet, or Hear You Now. There might be an app. There are tethers or "keepers" you can attach to your aids to keep them from getting lost while doing outside or strenuous. activities, if you have over the ear versions of aids
