Monitoring is purchased through SimpliSafe as they are a month to month subscription. However, a subscription is not required to use their system - only to have added benefits like professionally monitoring from SimpliSafe’s team and save your monitoring data like camera recordings As of writing this, there are multiple optional subscriptions that range from $25 to $5 a month.
