• A:Answer When you push the panic button the monitoring company calls you to see if you're ok. If you don't answer or don't know your safe word they call the police. You would have to check with Simplisafe to see if it can be used for fire or ambulance since I am not sure, but would think it is not for that.

• A:Answer This is the Panic Button accessory, which must be added to a SimpliSafe system to function. With a compatible Monitoring Service, triggering this Panic Button will immediately trigger an alarm event, with can result in police dispatch. Without Monitoring, the Panic Button can still trigger an immediate audible siren from the Base Station, but no dispatch.

Q: QuestionI can't see the button, Behind headboard" and I had to reset everything last night I lost all sensors, do I need to hit a button on the panic alarm to set it up?

• A:Answer When your system is in Pairing Mode (through the Devices section of your Keypad Menu), you want to press the Panic button for 2 seconds. When you hear the system verbally acknowledge, you'll know you added the component successfully.

Q: QuestionDo I need a SimpliSafe System for this button, or do I just need the button? I don't have a system, but I want a Panic Button somewhere in my house, but don't want to pay for a SimpliSafe system. Will it still work without being connected the internet???

• A:Answer You need a SimpliSafe System for the panic button to work, but you do not need a subscription plan. Without a subscription, the system would alert and make noise, but nobody will be notified. The button was smaller than expected.

Q: QuestionWould this panic device also work with my older model simplisafe BS2000 Station or do I need to upgrade?

• A:Answer No. According to SimpliSafe's website, this model only works with the new base station. If you have the older base station, you need the older panic button to be compatible. https://simplisafe.com/alarm-sensors (the SS3 in the name indicates this is for the new SimpliSafe base station/model)
