The speakers need at least 25 watts per speaker, make sure the TV has that output. Or use a stereo amp.

Another way of controlling the volume on this speaker outdoor is to do the following: (read below if you have an iOS device). Skip if you're an Android user. 1) Add an Apple Airport Express to the CD/Aux output of your receiver 2) Configure your local iTunes libraries on your home pc/mac to send audio to the the Apple Airport Express. 3) Using the remote App on your iPhone / iPad you can control your local iTunes library from your pc/mac to send audio to the Apple Airport Express, in turn sending the audio out to your outdoor rock speakers. Solution: The speaker volume control can now be control using Apple iOS Remote app.
