When connecting your phone to the karaoke machine, the audio will transfer to the machine to allow for sing-along and lighting ambiance, the words will scroll across your smartphone when playing karaoke formatted music. Bluetooth is an audio only feature and does not stream graphics (aka words/lyrics). To see lyrics on the built-in monitor you will either have to play karaoke CDs (aka CD+G) or download music onto a USB Flash Drive (Not Included) in the format of MP3+G) We hope this information is helpful to you.
