Q: QuestionDo these antennas cease working after 2 years. all of a sudden, I got a message that my antenna was either disconnected, or damaged. After 2 1/2 hours on the phone w Serius techs the problem was never resolved. 'Was told, "the radio is 2 years old!"

• A:Answer I've had my Sirius radio since it began over 20 years ago. My antenna was only a problem when the wire was accidentally cut. Should definitely last more than 2 years. Should last indefinitely.

• A:Answer The home antenna is for use with the Sirius docking station. I am unaware of any other applications. I purchased it so that if I desired to take my "docker" outside, I wouldn't have to dismantle the antenna I have secured from a window to the unit. They do have something that will allow you to connect your Sirius auto radio to a stereo system in your house. You can find most of what you need to know by opening up Sirius and going to accessories. Other than that, call Sirius for tech support.

Q: QuestionDo you sell Sirius XM outdoor antenna with extended wire for connection to the internal receiver (read: at least 50 feet)?Do you sell an outdoor antenna for Sirius XM with an extended wire of 50 that we can hook up to our internal receiver designed for Satilight radio reception? My current indoor antenna with 20 feet of wire does not provide me reception so I am intending to run the wire outside through a window to strengthen reception. I have looked at Best Buy.com but have not seen any outdoor SiriusXM antennas for sale is it a special order item?

• A:Answer There is a 50' extension available but keep in mind the indoor antenna that comes with the home antenna is not meant for being used outside. It's not weather proof. You may want to look at an SiriusXM outdoor antenna.
