  • QuestionWill this work with an XM home radio receiver

    Asked by Jim.

    • Answer This remote control will only operate the SiriusXM Tour, Onyx Plus, Onyx EZR or older Sirius or XM dock and play radios. If you have a Home kit for one of the radios, you can connect to the AUX input. if you are looking for a tuner/antenna that directly connects to the XM home radio receiver, that tuner was discontinued many years ago

  • QuestionHow do you change the batteries on this remote? I've tried sticking a pin in the identified hole but the battery case door doesn't slide open.

    Asked by Katz.

    • Answer Hold the remote in the palm of your hand with the keys facing your hand. Position the remote with the battery compartment closer to your thumb. Apply a firm downward pressure on the battery compartment door with your thumb while you insert a pin into the release hole. Then use your thumb to push/slide to door open. This is a child proof cover so it is supposed to be a bit difficult. Sometimes it helps to insert the pin at an angle and 'rotate' the pin so it is also pushing the door in the open direction at the same time you are pushing with your thumb.

  • QuestionDoes this work on my old xm receiver and dock?

    Asked by Bunyon.

    • Answer It really depends on the model XM radio that you have. Most of the basic functions should work, but some of the more specific buttons are designed for the Tour radio
