The sound will work but the microphone will be hitting and missing sometimes. Also this apples only to the new controllers( any controller that came out around the release of the halo 5 limited edition controllers) because they updated them with headphone jacks at the bottom of the controllers. However if you have an adapter then it will connect to it.

Please try again later.Yes it will if you have the xbox one adapter they sell it separately for 24.99 I think or you have the new standard issue xbox controllers that have the 3.5 jack on the bottom of the controller where you would normally put the standard xbox licensed mics

My children have the old one that you can only use the supplied head set. The new controllers now just have a aux jack.
