They don't come with cords because the socket type depends on what year the building/house was built. That determines if it's 3 or 4 prong, regardless of the type of appliance. :) (I use to work for best buy in the appliance department!)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.3 vs 4 prongs is a very poor answer. Who has an outlet in America that has 4 prongs? Why not include a cord and two plugs? We suffer the rise in cost of these appliances. I just spend over $10k putting appliances in my kitchen. Most of these also needed installation kits, that no one mentioned when I purchased all of these. It was the plumber that required me to drive an hour to Home Depot to purchase all this stuff. Don't get started on the washer and dryer. After spending $2500 on top-of-the-line Electrolux, I had to spend another $400 to get enough parts just to use the darn things...Corporate greed is the reason these things must be purchased separately. Corporate greed. vote accordingly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I completely agree! you do not go buy a vacuum, microwave, refrigerator or even power tools without a cord.. Besides that.. paying $1200 to $1999 for a dryer?? and a cord is not offered? man am I the dumb one..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Appliances used to come with cords . . . and most outlets accommodate 3-prong cords. This is nothing but greed and another way to increase prices. Pure and simple!!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Because plugs can have 3 and 4 prongs and the ground is wired differently. It is easier to be able to wire the machine on site than have it hardwired and deliver wrong machine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.its not hard to change anyway. Plus its best to have no plug. Since you may have wrong one on appliance that won't fit wall ?
