You don't need to hook it up if you don't want ice and water, the fridge will work fine without it.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, but look for a switch in the refridgerator to turn it off. I've heard the lines can get moldy and need cleaned out a couple times a year. Too much trouble for me. I don't use much ice so I just use old fashioned ice cube trays!
