Q: QuestionWhat kind of Lights are you Installing and Where Exactly? I see from the picture it looks like a LED String under the couch. You also say Smart Lighting Bridge to home network, what Exactly does that mean? Can you only install 6 lights? Can you send info?

• A:Answer An example of smart lights would be Philips Hue. They would install up to 6 smart lights for this price and then you could get additional add-on lights installed for a small charge.

• A:Answer They don’t do anything that requires them to touch electrical wiring. They can plug stuff in and help set it up, but not attach the wires to the switches.

• A:Answer FYI I did schedule this w GEEKSQUAD, waited about 3 weeks for the appointment, the Tech arrived and had zero clue about Phillips Hue or the Hue LED LED BAR lights so he cancelled, next appointment is not until Mid OCT. Totally unacceptable. I will just do it myself

Q: QuestionCan you troubleshoot the electrical wiring in Lutron Caseta light switches? One of mine stopped working despite current running through it. I'm wondering whether I should hire an electrician or can the Geek Squad handle electrical wiring installations?

• A:Answer Generally switches are not that hard to change. Be sure to turn off breaker to turn off power. Then remove face plate, then pull switch out of the box. Take a picture of the switch and the wires for easy reconnect. Take the picture to Lowe's or Home Depot and go to the electrical area of the store. If you have trouble selecting the right switch ask for help. Connect wires to the new switch per the picture you took earlier.

Q: QuestionLooking at Lutron Caseta, but I don't know the amount of switches or type I need. There are several lights with multiple switches and I don't know if it will work with that type of setup. Can the Geek Squad do an evaluation of what I need at home?

An Agent will also set up your online account and get your mobile app downloaded. They will demonstrate how to control your new smart lighting remotely with your mobile device (phone/tablet). The Geek Squad is not authorized to install in wall switches (an electrician must install any in wall switches).
