No. The head on the key appears and only looks like a Schlage "C". The actual cut is a Kwikset but a shortened version. Pure evil. If you take the supplied key to a locksmith they can cut Kwikset keys to match but you will need to file off about 2mm from the tip of the key so that the cuts line up with the pins when the key is inserted. I have not explored the possibility of replacing the core with either a Schlage or Kwikset or what series of either may fit. Doing so would enable you to do keyed alike by pinning the cylinders (cores) to whatever keys you want to be alike amoung different locks so that you can ahve just 1 key that works all of your locks.
