Hi, Thanks for your question. We do not recommend adding additional speakers or swapping out the included subwoofer with a larger sub. The included satellite speakers and subwoofer is the maximum number of speakers you should connect to the Sonos amp. Adding more speakers or changing the subwoofer may result in an unacceptable load which could damage the Sonos amp. If you are looking for more volume, I would recommend our Sonance Garden Series 8.1 system w/ amplifier (Best Buy SKU: 6341804). You can view the system on BestBuy.com here: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sonance-garden-series-8-1-ch-outdoor-speaker-system-with-2-ch-amplifier-dark-brown-black/6341804.p?skuId=6341804 The Garden Series system will give you better performance since the satellites feature a 2-way satellite speaker design, and the subwoofer is a 10" sub versus the 8" subwoofer in the MAG6.1 system. Additionally, the amplifier included with the Garden Series package can power a total of (16) SGS satellite speakers and (2) SGS subwoofers giving you more system design flexibility. I hope you found this information helpful. If you have other questions, please call our California-based support team at 949-492-7777 and ask for Tech Support. We are available Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM PST. We'd love to help you out. - Sonance Customer Support Team
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is probably a better question for Sonos and/or Sonance Technical Support or maybe the guys at Magnolia but as I understand it, the amp that comes with the system is pretty much already maxed out and adding anymore speakers or a larger sub would strain the system and all of the power and sound would be diminished on all of the equipment.
