I would say as long as you use concrete wall anchors and have a fairly flat surface it would work fine.

Any mount can be attached to stone or brick. Redhead expanding screws work well on stone and brick. Another thing to consider when mounting a bracket on stone, how flat and even will the mount bracket sit against the stone? Depending on how flat the stone is across the face, mounting on a stone may not be be viable option.
