For the Sonos Beam Gen 2 to work with other Sonos speakers and your Samsung Picture Frame TV, here's how the connections work: Connecting Sonos Beam Gen 2 to TV: The Beam Gen 2 connects to your TV via an HDMI eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) or HDMI ARC port. This connection allows the Beam to receive audio from your TV, including for other sources connected to the TV. Optical Cable: The Beam Gen 2 does not use an optical cable. It relies solely on HDMI eARC/ARC for audio from the TV. If your TV only has an optical out, you would need a separate HDMI-to-Optical adapter to convert the signal. Streaming Music on Sonos App: To stream music to the Beam Gen 2 and other Sonos speakers, you do not need an optical cable. All Sonos speakers, including the Beam Gen 2, communicate over Wi-Fi via the Sonos app. Ensure all your Sonos devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network and configured in the Sonos app.
