• According to the Manual for your M50-E1 you can connect via ARC or Optical. I used the ARC setup for my Beam/Visio P50 installation. Works like a charm.

• You'll need to either use the HDMI port that's labeled 'ARC' on the TV to connect to the soundbar, or use the audio output of the TV with an extra SPDIF to TOSLINK adapter.

• The Beam connects through an HDMI port. If your TV has an HDMI (ARC) output or an optical/digital connection it will work fine with the beam. Hope this helps.
