You can't drive more then two sets of speakers off this (assuming speakers are 8 ohm). If you want to drive a lot of speakers, you either get Sonos Amp per set of speakers (or room) and run them as group (giving you same music, same time in all rooms), or get the Sonos Connect, and a amplifier that can drive a lot of speakers all at once. The only issue with Sonos Connect driving a lot of speakers at once is, the volume control won't work the best in the Sonos app. It'll change volume of all the speakers at once. If you have a Sonos connect or amp set up per room, you'll find volume control is easier.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, if all the speakers converge to one point, spend the $49 for the squad to come out and hook it up. Won't be able to control each room separately though
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No they recommend only 2 sets of speaker to each Connect Amp. Also if you connect all 3 sets to the one amp you will be stuck with the same music at the same volume in all rooms. I put a different Connect Amp for each room then you can control the Volume and content in each room. Works much better that way
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My understanding is the Sonos amp will handle 4 speakers or 2 pairs. My suggestion is 2 amps, not to void warranty
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Absolutely!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To connect 6 speakers to a single sonos receiver I recomend you use a Sonos Connect , Wired (via RCA cables) to an amp capable of supporting that speaker load. The sonos connect Amp is only rated at 55 watts per channel (not enough for 6 speakers) With the Connect you will still retain all of the Sonos functionality with the added need to power up the amp
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I tried something similar, and was unsuccessful. I do have 4 speakers on one amp and it works great. That all said, it all depends on the output required for each pair.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I hate to answer a question this way -- but it really depends upon the speakers. If they are small speakers, there is a decent chance that it will work. If they are bookshelf speakers, then I know for use that they can handle 2 of them without a problem. But, I urge you to be sure that the speakers are pretty well matched. Since you will not have a separate volume control for each one, you need to make sure that the load is similar.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have to be careful because this amp is only rated to run at 4 ohm stereo. I have done this exact thing with 6 speakers, I just made sure to keep the Connect:Amp cool.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the Sonos Connect Amp and four speakers in two rooms....a pair in each. The Sonos unit only has outputs for a left and right speaker, but what I did is run all my speakers into a simple push button speaker selector switch. That switch then becomes a speaker hub, and you can then send the left/right output from the switch to the Sonos. Then just hit the buttons for your three zones at the speaker switch, and you're good to go.
