• This adapter is designed to run from an optical port to female HDMI so you can then run an HDMI cord where it needs to go. It sounds like you're trying to do the reverse of that? Theoretically it should work as it's just an audio signal. However, we can't guarantee it as that's not what it's designed for per say.
