- Answer Not silly at all. The speaker is mono, but when paired with a second one it can become a stereo set.

- Answer This device does require to be plugged into a power outlet as it does not have any type of onboard battery. The cord is pretty lengthy, about 10' which is pretty nice.

- Answer Yes, it can. Voice control is available on all Sonos speakers however some do not have microphones so you would need to use and Echo Dot or similar device to control them.

- Answer Hello, and great question! Yes, you can do that. Doesn't matter which one is which surround. No need to have voice mics in both speakers if they're in the same room, so we designed the One and One SL to work together as rears, and as a stereo pair, too!

QuestionWould there be any issues with moisture if used under a patio for an out door speaker?

- Answer Hi, I used a pair of Sonos 1's in a covered outdoor kitchen year-round; estimate they were out there for about 4+ years, never had a problem with moisture. One was about 5' above our grill / smoker, so also exposed to those elements. Pretty robust speaker. I would expect these never were exposed to direct moisture, I.e. rain or snow, but the humidity of St. Louis, no problems.

- Answer Hi, and thank you for your question! It depends what you mean by "regular" Sonos speakers. You can stereo pair like-for-like speakers. The only exception is One and One SL. One and One SL can be stereo paired together. Other than that, you would have to have x2 of the exact same Sonos speaker. Out of the two speakers neither are better than the other. Acoustically, they're exactly the same. The only difference is that the Sonos One has voice mics built in for Alexa, and Google Assistant, where the One SL does not.

QuestionI have a Google Pixel 3 and have the Sirius XM app and my music in Google Play. Can I play music from either of these areas through the Sonos app or is Sirius, Pandora, iHeartRadio, and other streaming apps, not Google Play, the only way to go?

- Answer You can absolutely use your Sirius XM and Google Play services through the Sonos app. We support over 80 streaming services and those two are on the list!

- Answer The Sonos One does not have the necessary connections to connect to a TV. For that I would recommend that you look at the Sonos Beam.

- Answer Any device otherwise capable of running the Sonos app, including android technology, can make the usual adjustments including equalizer adjustments. If however, you were talking about the true play tuning technology, no that is still restricted to iOS devices. However, nothing prevents you from using a buddies iPhone for instance to do the tuning, it takes a couple of minutes only.

- Answer If you are using a Sonos Amp to drive your built-in speakers the you can combine these for stereo rear but it’s not true surround sound without a center channel. It would just be stereo front / stereo rear. Typically they are added with a Sonos sound bar and a Sonos sub, for true surround sound. Sonos does not make in-wall or in-ceiling speakers. The partner with Sonance for the speaker and you use a Sonos amp.

- Answer Not that I have seen. Sonos uses a proprietary “Mesh Network” that only links to other Sonos pieces.

- Answer Hi Anne, the Sonos One does not connect directly to a TV. For TV sound you would need a Sonos Ray, Beam, or Arc speaker. These products connect to the TV directly with either an optical or ARC connection.

QuestionI recently purchased a Sonos Move and then a One SL and am now considering another One for another room. If a buy a One (Gen 2) Smart Speaker with Voice Control (VC), will I be able to sync it up with the others and extend the VC to the other speakers?

- Answer Hi, and thank you for your question. The answer is sort of! You can control the Move and One SL using your voice assistant in the One. However you won't be able to now talk to those rooms because those speakers need mics. So for example: You can tell the Sonos One to skip track in another room or play music in another room. But that doesn't mean you can now talk directly to One SL. Also, worth noting the Move does have mics built in for voice assistance as well. If you'd like to pair your One SL with a voice assistant, you can buy a small voice product like an amazon dot, or google home mini and that can be used to control any of our products that don't have voice built in as well.

- Answer The only way to play television content through these speakers would be grouping them with one of our Home Theater products (Playbar, Beam, Playbase, Amp) that is connected to the television. If you were using one of those products as your television sound then you play that content over these speakers wireless and control volume and playback through the Sonos app.
