• Yes, as long as your optical output is not already being used for another device that you consider more important. But the two are compatible when connecting with an optical cord, which is included with the soundbar.

• as long as it (the tv) has an optical output on the back of the tv although for this use case I would look at the beam, if you're placing this in a living room.
