A:Answer The actual speakers look to be about 4"x6". The size of the speakers are somewhat irrelevant in today's subwoofers. At one time the bigger the better, but not today. I have the Sonos Subwoofer and it is fantastic for both music and movies. That said, it will not win any bass contests if bass is all you are looking for. It is built for sound quality and not rattling your windows. What matters most are power (output in watts) and frequency response. Sonos' frequency response is around 25 Hz, which is respectable and similar to a typical 10" sub. That said, the power is not so great. Sonos does not advertise the typical power output of the sub, but many have speculated it is around 50 to 100 watts. This is probably a good guess and frankly about as much as one would want to supply to such small drivers. Due to the driver size and the power, the speaker is not going to deliver those bone rattling lows that some may like, but it is more than capable of delivering fantastic sound quality and it will still make your recliner shake if so desired.
