Controls can be confusing. I had the same problem I shut off tv and sound bar pulled out connections ( hdmi cables ) reconnected and turned back on. Everything worked fine. Don't know why it worked but it did. Hope it helps
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello Timothy! If your television supports the feature called ARC (Audio Return Channel) when using an HDMI connection make sure that you have the cord connected to the port labeled HDMI ARC on your television and change the input on your sound bar to TV to be able to get sound. If your television doesn't support the ARC feature it will be necessary to have an audio cord connected instead either an Optical or an Analog connection. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have to find the output that is labeled ARC You'll find it most likely in paranthesis close to one of your hdmi ports. Your sound bar should have the same thing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same problem when I started setup. I found that I had the HDMI in the wrong port on the soundbar (there are two different locations with HDMI ports) and when I switched it to the output and made certain the TV end was in the ARC port, everything worked fine. After I set it up through the TV menu, I disconnected the HDMI and went with the optical cable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No optical is required or needed for the newer 4K TVs. You may need to use a specific HDMI port. On my TV only HDMI 4 supports ARC which is necessary...
