QuestionThis is my 3rd Sony HTX9000F. When on Bluetooth, 3 mins into anything it blares a pop sound and then the two lights show on the sound bar. I bought a good optical cord and it does the same thing. Again, this is the 3rd one from Best Buy, defective?

- Answer Mine did this when I bought it. I hard reset it and did a software update and it fixed it. I can’t remember the details in the hard reset but I found them with a google search. The software update can be found on Sony’s website. Just need a usb drive.

QuestionWhen the TV turns on the soundbar, it changes the setting the D. In to use the ARC feature, and I have to change the input to HDMI to use Spectrum Is there any way to set Soundbar to automatically go to HDMI however it is powered on?

QuestionI purchased a Sony XBR-65X900F TV along with a Sony HT-Z9F sound bar on 2/16/20. When watching shows with action or shows with music the sound db’s spike tremendously between the dialogue and effects or music. Why? Also sound and video don’t always sync

QuestionBought this sound bar at Best Buy as display. It did not come with a remote. Do you need a remote to set up. Can not get it to work with my 40” Sony 40EX640.no instructions.

- Answer Yes unfortunately you will need the remote on. As this has no Wi-Fi support and no app that can be used with it.

QuestionI can not seem to change vertical sound settings. There is no text showing on the TV screen so no way of knowing whether it is on or not. All the lights on the unit just flash.

- Answer Hi Andys, we're sorry to hear that you have an issue with your SONY unit. The vertical surround setting does not appear on the TV screen while the TV input is selected. Please make sure to select other input when adjusting Vertical S. We recommend using HDMI as your input. You may find this link helpful in adjusting the Vertical S from your soundbar. QuestionWhat is the fix for the apparent factory defect (documented) for the SONY HT-9000X soundbar which exhibits the following issue: VOLUME INCREASES BY ITSELF every 5-6 minutes, SOUNDBAR turns on by itself unless unplugged ; always lands on volume "60"

- Answer Had the exact same issue.. Had been working fine for the past two years then out of the blue started acting up.. Had recently had a lightning storm before the problem started happening so it was probably a voltage spike.. Do a factory reset and make sure the firmware is up to date.. The procedure for checking and updating the firmware is on the website.. Also make sure the Bluetooth subwoofer has a secure connection (amber light on the front of the sub).. If it’s showing a green light when the system is on means it’s connected but not a secure connection.. I did all that and mine is working great again...

You can access that going into the TV’s settings and scrolling to Bravia Sync and then clearing out any in the Device Control sub menu. QuestionI am looking for a soundbar that will adjust the volume so that you can hear the voices without the music and sound effects blasting you out of the room. Does this soundbar have that feature? Does any other Sony soundbars have that feature?

- Answer Hi RichardC, thank you for you interest in our product. Yes, this unit has a VOICE mode. In voice mode, the natural human voice frequencies are enhanced without bringing additional noise from the background making dialogue easier to hear. We also recommend using the News sound mode to bring dialogue front and center. It is easy to access because it has its dedicated button on the supplied remote. Please note, that all Sony soundbars have the Vocal enhancement feature. Thanks. ~Earl

QuestionI have a Sony sound bar x9000f with an issue. I watch Netflix and Hulu on my tv and while I am watching something on Hulu, the sound bar will randomly turn off and lose sound. Any insight on why this is happening?
