Sorry for my previous reply this model DOES NOT support DTS. It does however have S-Force PRO Front Surround. I am not sure why some review sites posted conflicting information but I found the official manual with specifications online. The 390 is actually a better buy if the prices are similar.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi, tecknobot, They are almost the same but HT-CT390 has additional features compared to its predecessor. CT390 supports DTS audio format and it has Cinematic S-Force Front Surround. You may further compare them here: https://www.sony.com/electronics/home-theater/t/sound-bars?view=compare. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That previous answer is incorrect. This model also supports DTS, Sony's website for some reason has incomplete specifications for the newer models. Copied from another site. "built-in Dolby® and DTS® decoding, including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio Sony's S-Force® PRO Front Surround technology offers an immersive listening experience" They are essentially identical except for the change in the soundbar's appearance.
