Q: QuestionIs there a digital recorder that records meeting and I'm able to upload what was said in the meeting into a document such as Microsoft Word?My meetings lately have been going more close to 2 hours and 30 minutes. It would be easy if it could be uploaded into Word. I would do all of the formating and revision. Just would make me more efficient.

Q: QuestionDoes this recorder have a "track" function?Does it have a track function to make it easy to find a particular location at a later time? (I see it has the date and time stamp, but this is slightly different from an "ease of use" perspective)

Q: QuestionCan I record my cell phone calls with this device?I need to record my cell phone conversations. Does this device come with the capability to do so? If not, must i purchase a wire of some kind to work in conjunction with the device and my cell phone in order to record my conversations successfully?

• A:Answer There isn’t a way to connect a cell phone directly to IC recorder. The only ways to record conversations is through the cell phone speaker system by putting the recorder’s microphone next to your cell phone. An external microphone is available that may help recording a conversation easier.

• A:Answer Absolutely. Transfer files quickly without searching for a USB connection cable. With direct connect, simply connect the recorder to a PC or Mac® USB input as the files are already recorded and saved in the MP3 format. no need to convert!

Q: QuestionWhat is the distance that one can be from the recorder and still have it record?How far can some one be (2 ft, 5 ft, 10ft?) from the recorder and still have an un magnfied voice be picked up? Say you were in a lecture or group discussion where no microphones are used.

Q: QuestionDate stamp function on Sony Digital voice recorder?Does the sony digital recorder ux512 have a "date / time stamp" function to help one organize or retrieve audio recordings later? This way one does not have to listen to hours of recording to locate a particular recording or spend too much time rewinding or fast forwarding to locate a lecture or recording. Thanks.

• A:Answer Sony does not have a carrying pouch specifically designed for the recorder, however you should be able to find something suitable - a pouch for another product like a cell phone or earbuds. The dimensions of the ICDUX512 is 1.5" x 4.5" x 0.84" (37.5 x 102 x 14.6mm).
