Most people are stating that spectrum offers cable up to 1080p. Spectrum’s max output they offer at this point in time is 1080i in most areas; if not all. I mean we are all trying to move forward and get rid of the boxes, which is a dream, but their app is spotty at best on devices other than a computer. So to answer the question if you are watching tv through a cable box, just look at the tv in store and pick one that you like the colors along with the brightness. It will take some time, and probably our money, before cable boxes will have true 4K capabilities.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nope! Spectrum only has boxes for 1080p. Therefore, the picture quality isn't all that great. It will have a look like everything is shot at night time. It sucks that they are making all larger TV's 4K smart, but what they may not realize are more than half the population has cable, which does NOT support 4k's!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can see it now. The new TV’s can upscale to 4K and even HDR from a Spectrum cable box. Sony TV’s are rated at being best at upscaling.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Sal, This tv can upscale video resolution to near 4k quality. However, to get a native 4k resolution, the source needs to be in native 4k. You can also enjoy watching 4k contents from available video apps that you can download and install from the Play store. For more information about this TV, kindly check this link: https://docs.sony.com/release//SPECS/XBR43X800E_mksp.pdf Thanks, Zac

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Don't believe the up convert story. I have a 2019 75 inch 4k UHD Samsung. The up convert is iffy. There is no comparison to real full screen 4k such as Lion King 2019
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will not.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In order for your TV to display something in 4K, the signal has to be transmitted in 4K. When I did have a service that transmitted in 4K, the limited number of 3 4K channels was not worth the additional cost. My Satellite service doesn't transmit anything in 4K but it's still a better quality, especially for the HD channels.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.(No 4k ) Spectrum supports 1080p/netflix on the new guide box 210,110 series...201 or 101 may support the new guide software but not support the 1080p format. The hdmi cable provided by spectrum does not support higher resolutions especially 4k. The upsampling of a 1080p image is very important for 4k. Sony and LG OLED 4k do a very good job but Sony generally takes a lead for The clearest reproduction (X1 chip over LG A9) in picture reproduction.(Niether support streaming app but have built in tv guide that is 4k * via the manufacturer) If you are subscribed to HBO and internet services you can log into HBO go using your account login information and enjoy the quality associated with that streaming service. Upsampling via pc of the spectrum app provides the best conventional quality and a synthetic hdr can be implemented, filters can be adjusted in nvidia and amd drivers to introduce noise FOR low bit rate upsampling. *Experimental a native 4k device like nvidia shield side loaded with spectrum app (eludes pc browser resizing) looks to be sharpest image... Additional info quality vs size a 55 will look a mile better than a 77 with a 1080p upsampling. (Roku TVs and Samsung support spectrum app on most all smart tv series.) Updating old thread* As common question*
