QuestionWhat is the width of the stand itself.

- Answer Around 38.5 inches. I replaced the stand that swivels 30 degrees each side and has a width approximately 15.75 inches and a depth of 10.25 inches. The stand cost was $30.

- Answer Also this TV does not support Auto low latency or variable refresh rate. Don't let the Sony tech in the comment section tell you it's only for 8k that's either a lie or they're grossly misinformed. That's probably what they're told to tell people to cover up their mistake of being cheap.

QuestionIs the Sony 950H a better tv for picture quality than the Sony 950G?

- Answer I am not familiar with the 950G, but I can tell the picture quality of the 950h is fabulous. Well worth the money. I had purchased an LG Nano which was $300 less, aprox, and I returned it and picked up the 950G. The picture quality improvement was striking, as agreed by our entire adult family. Love the H.

QuestionDoes this tv (the 49” model in particular) have a microphone in the TV itself, or just in the remote? I know the larger sizes of the 950H do have microphones in the TV, but am trying to confirm one way or the other for the 49”. Thanks!

QuestionI don't like a dark picture and just returned the Samsung Q80T because local dimming could not be turned off. Can local dimming be totally turned off on this TV or is the only option low and high? Thanx

- Answer Hi Brian, We regret to hear that the TV had to be returned. Yes, Auto local dimming can be turned off, and set to low, medium, or high. But, there are various settings that you can configure in [Picture] settings to match the picture quality or brightness level depending on your personal preference to improve the viewed content on your Android TV. There are also Picture mode settings that provide preset adjustments for the type of picture you are viewing. Questiondoes the sony 49" X950H have required fittings to attach to a wall hangar?

- Answer Hi p, thank you for your inquiry. This TV can be mounted to a wall using a suitable Wall-Mount Bracket (not supplied). For compatible wall-mount brackets for the 49X950H model, it supports a screw hole pattern of 7 7/8 x 7 7/8 inches (200 × 200 mm). Hope this helps! -Sam

QuestionI have a preinstalled swilled tv base that I need to ensure this tv sits on as it will not be mounted . What is the distance from pedestal to pedestal to ensure stability? The base is in a pull out in a cabinet so it cannot be wall mounted.

QuestionI was going to buy the 49" Sony X950H until I saw that X-Wide Viewing and Sound was excluded. I need to find a 48"-49" TV with a wide viewing angle. Until now I have always bought Sony. Disappointing! Will future 49" models include these features?

If viewing angles and sound quality are most important to you, please check out the Sony XBR48A9S OLED TV, which will be available soon!
