• There is no (old) 3.5 mm headphone jack on this television that could be used with monitor (powered) speakers. There are two ways to use external speakers with this TV. 1. Use the ARC/eARC HDMI output to communicate with an amplifier or sound bar. 2. Use the optical (audio) output to interface with an optical input device of your choice. By far the easiest option is to audition sound bars and make a decision.
