QuestionI own the Sony 55" 900E. I returned the first one because I would see a distortion around people's in motion. I thought it was a defect. BB replaced it with a new one. Unfortunately I still have the issue with the new one. Why do I see this?

- Answer I've not seen this issue but try disabling MotionFlow for that input, or all inputs (I hate the motion interpolation). Maybe that will resolve it.

Questiondoes this tv handle 1080 content well? i mean almost every satellite & broadcast channel is only 1080 so can this tv handle that well and make it look decent?

- Answer Hi 1080pviewer, I suggest that you change your username to 4Kviewer as this TV not only handles 1080 content well, it upscales it to near 4k quality. It does not make 1080 decent, it makes it excellent. Thanks, -Mark

QuestionHi, l recently bought the Sony XBR55X900E ....There is a wire that looks like a pair of ear buds that is called a IR Blaster.....What is it used for and can i disconnect it when i am done with the initial set up?

- Answer These are used for your remote control so you can use it if something is blocking the sensor in front of the TV in other words it gives you a wider range for your remote to control the TV

- Answer I just answered this last night! You go to the action menu. then to picture. then you find Pro-Cinema and select it with the center button. Boom, you will see the difference instantly!

- Answer The 900 has amuch brighter HDR range. It also has local dimming. It has better Bluetooth connection to headphones.

- Answer AFAIK the 55X900E has a power brick . I will be getting one this week at the local Best Buy to replace the 2015 Sony 55-X850C here that suddenly had a panel fail ,my extended warranty coverage is paying my purchase cost for the 55-X850C and all but $300.00 for the new TV + the sales tax for the replacement 55X900E. Any brand TV can have a panel fail at any time . No matter what TV you buy get an extended warranty from Best Buy or on line somewhere right away it saved me $1199.00 plus a TVservice call to diagnose it .

- Answer No it does not have 3d.... but it does have a VA triluminous display which produces deep blacks, blinding brightness, and vibrant color and is one of few tv sets for the price that has a 120hz (native) refresh rate.

- Answer No, the X900E series will only support HDR10 and HLG HDR but not Dolby Vision. Sony models that have the 4K HDR Processor X1 Extreme such as the X930/X940E, Z9D, and A1E OLED series will be getting Dolby Vision. The X900E series uses the 4K HDR Processor X1(non Extreme).

- Answer What do you mean unlock the WIFI? If you want to use your internet's wifi, assuming you have wifi, you have to use your router's name, and your routers password. Go to internet setup and enter your router's name and password. If you don't have wifi, you'll have to do a hardwire connect from router to TV.

- Answer Hi Freshmastere, try connecting your PS4/Pro to HDMI ports 2/3. Those ports on the TV are the ones that support 4k HDR and may help output the resolution you're seeking. Thanks, -Mark

- Answer It runs android OS which has upgraded to Android 7 currently. I use an iPhone and I don't have any problem connecting to Bluetooth or sharing media content on tv using WiFi Direct.

- Answer the sound bar will fit, but it obscures the remote sensor. Positioned behind the tv, the sound bar remote is obscured. it is far from ideal and i would not recommend it to others.

- Answer The Sony 55" and 65" XBR-X900Es are two of the BEST sets in terms of "performance to price" ratio on the market. Both have great picture quality, up-conversion, connectivity, and 120Hz native refreshing. With the 4K-HDR X-1 Processor, they outshine equivalent HDTVs from Samsung, Vizio, LG (what doesn't?), and Toshiba; IMHO. I would love to see the new 2017 Panasonic models when they get to the states.
