  • QuestionWhy is my unit will suddenly turn off ? Sometimes no pictures but there is a sound ! Then after a couple of minutes there is red light flashing ! Thanks

    Asked by Andee.

    • Answer Hi Andee, We regret to hear that you are having an issue with your Sony BRAVIA TV. To isolate and hopefully resolve this issue, please unplug the TV power cord (mains lead) from the electrical outlet and wait for 2 minutes. Then plug the power cord (mains lead) back into the electrical outlet. We can also test the TV using several different sources such as different apps, external devices like smart tv stick or media player. For external devices, make sure they are connected securely to the TV. Updating the firmware of the TV will resolve any possible software-related issues and will improve the performance. To check if your software is up-to-date, select [System update] from [Settings] — [System] — [About]. Feel free to test the unit again and verify if these resolve the issue. If you are still having the same issue, please contact us. Unfortunately, due to the current Best Buy phishing protocol for your protection, we cannot provide a direct email or phone number for customer support as of now. Please find Sony Electronics' Support information: Go to our support website > click on “Support” > scroll down click on “Contact Support” > click on "TV & Projectors" and from there you'll see different ways to contact us. • QuestionWhen playing a blu-raymovie through my av receiver with pass through, the tv shows it at 1080p, instead of up converting it..why? Player is at auto1/0r off., Player is a Sony 4k Blu-ray player.. Isn't the tv supposed to up converting automatically?

    Asked by Super.

    • Answer Hi Super, Thank you for your inquiry! If the A/V Receiver does not send the 4K Signal to the X90K TV, make sure that all your devices are HDCP 2.2 compliant. To display a 4K signal to this TV from a 4K Blu-ray player that is connected to a receiver, you will need the following: A 4K player that is HDCP2.2 compliant A receiver that is HDCP2.2 compliant and supports passthrough mode Use a High-Speed HDMI cable with Ethernet or a Premium High-Speed HDMI cable with Ethernet that supports 18Gbps Play a 4K content on your Blu-ray player If you connect a 4K Bluray player to a non-4K receiver, the receiver will not able to passthrough the 4K signal to the TV. The TV will only be able to display the 4K signal if it is connected directly to the 4K Bluray player. • QuestionI’ve had this tv for about 8 months and I love it. Today however the remote’s response time was sluggish. Then the tv turned off. I was unable to turn it on. 20 minutes later it turned on itself. And then turned off. I am still unable to turn it on.

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Hi, Thank you for reaching out to us. We really appreciate you love your X90K TV. However, we're sorry to hear the issues that you are experiencing with the unit. Let's try to isolate by following the troubleshooting steps below if your TV won't turn on: Check if the TV turns on with the remote control. - If the TV does not turn on, try resetting (restarting) the TV. Check if the TV turns on with the power button on the TV. - If the TV turns on with this procedure, there may be a problem with the remote control. Unplug the TV power cord from the wall outlet (or from the back of the TV or power adapter if the power cord is detachable and accessible), wait two minutes, then plug the power cord back in. Turn the TV on using the remote or power button of the TV itself.Unfortunately, due to the current Best Buy phishing protocol for your protection, we cannot provide a direct email or phone number for customer support as of now.
