Yes that Is correct. You don't need the mesh cover. but I would keep it and the stand as the installer told me they cost about $500 if you needed them in the future.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That is correct, when mounting to a wall the mesh is removed to access the area that will be screwed into the wall mount. It doesn't affect the sound quality at all, this is just a subwoofer and general cable cover which is not necessary when wall mounted because you will not be able to see the exposed part after it is mounted. It is still easy to attach HDMI /etc cables after it is mounted. The other difference is the kickstand is folded in completely when wall mounting, so it is parallel to the wall. It will protrude a few inches from the wall due to the thickness of the kickstand/CPU unit. Hope this helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is true, removing this speaker type cover from the rear of the stand exposes to points to wall mount. Clever idea Sony, only issue is the stand cannot be removed from the set itself because all the inputs are installed in it. Horrible idea Sony.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sorry, can't really answer since I didn't wall mount the TV. Since the cover isn't necessary, I would certainly remove it if it was in the way.
