A:Answer I believe that it is just a processing chip and would have the same characteristics and longevity as your computer cpu chip, Nothing to worry about burning out in the next decade or so unlike the LEDs on other TVs. If that chip is defective, it will manifest itself very early in your use and then be covered under warranty. It is not something to stress out about and decide not to buy the BEST color TV currently on the market.
