- Answer Around 60 inches. The feet can be flipped to save you some space though

Questionwhat is the ideal viewing distance for this 85" TV ? What is the ideal height off the floor?

- Answer I am currently sitting at 12 feet away from this TV and it is perfect. To be honest, you could easily get away with sitting even closer I would say 10 feet would be ideal and you will feel totally immersed in the action. You could also move back another 2 - 3 feet and not feel that you are too far away from the Tv. Currently at 12 feet is perfect in my mind to be honest though. I currently have this unit sitting at 40 inches off the floor on a tv stand and it feels perfect. The stand it is on is just the right size at 75 inches wide and 18 inches deep and 40 inches high. I would recommend that stand diameter. Be careful you need approximatley 16 inches of depth to fit the feet onto the stand, don't go any less than 16 deep or the feet will not sit stable on the stand.

QuestionMy existing TV us mounted on the wall because I hate to see connecting wires hanging at the back if the wall from the unit . My question is it is wall mountable ? Thanks

- Answer It is, but the TV weighs 105-lbs by itself......The Wall Bracket should be rated for at least 150-lbs, and attached directly into the wall studs as directed...No Sheetrock Anchors for this thing... If you have a brick or block wall, you should have a professional do it with the appropriate fasteners. This one has a 45-lb reserve on weight, so if you decide to mount a Antenna or a sound-bar you can hang it directly from the VersaMount as well.... just make sure you dont go over the rated weight I used the Sanus Full Motion bracket linked below. It worked AWESOME and i can move it and my XBR85x950g with 1 finger. Extends far enough out that dusting and connecting things behind it is very easy Very solid. Caught it on sale as well fro half price on a Deal-Of-The-Day

QuestionDid the 950G at Best Buy go from $3000 to $4300 from June to July?

- Answer Yes , they were $3k on sale. There are no new 85-950g TVs left at Best Buy. They only have scratch and dent. The full price doesn’t matter anymore. I bought my tv in May and it was a floor model. I don’t even think they had any new ones left in May. This is a 2018 model.

- Answer I use the optical out for everything and whatever input I select it works. I have the optical out working (a sound bar in my case). Choose optical out in the menu in sound settings and it will then be the default for all sound.

QuestionMy question is will it create a lot of heat In a room, were are the vents on the tv bottom or Does alot of heat come out through the screen. I mean i understand some heat but not extremely like the samsung tvs.

- Answer This can be in a dark room . Just move settings to where picture is perfect for your eyes. I have mine connected to a Yamaha receiver 7.2 ch and Klipsch towers , Sony center channel, pair of Sony Dolby atmos speakers, 2 Polk audio bookshelves, and 2 subwoofers from energy. Sounds great.
