Q: Questiona5000 or a6000Which you would you recommend. Sony Alpha a5000 or Sony Alpha a6000. I have only ever had a point and shoot. I want the next step up that will take great pics. In between a point and shoot and a DSLR. This would be an every day camera for me.

• A:Answer Mae -- I'd go with the a5000. It's the cheaper, entry model and since you're transitioning from a point and shoot, I don't think you really would need the boost in shutter speed and some of the other features (unless you plan on taking the time to learn more about manual photography). Yes, the a6000 has more megapixels, but unless you're blowing up the pictures, you don't need those extra ones. Really, what it comes down to would be a) can you live with out the OLED viewfinder (most point and shoots don't have one, nor does the a5000); b) are you going to mount an external flash; and c) can you afford the few hundred extra dollars? I've had a range of point and shoots and a DSLR and I have the a5000. I put the money I would have used to go up in model to buy a lens. Yes, there are some things that are left to be desired on the a5000 that the a6000 has, but if you're just a casual photographer, they're things you can live without (and didn't know you were missing).

• A:Answer Both are good cameras. Alpha a5000 is a lot smaller and compact than Canon T5 Rebel. Both take good pictures and HD videos. Both accept interchangeable lenses (wide angle, telephoto lenses). Differences: a5000 is good for travel, it is a mirrorless camera (between compact and DSLR) has flip-up monitor/screen for selfies, it transfers pictures to smart phone, ipad, smart TV and computer with wireless connection, and missing below T5 specs. T5 is larger in size, it is true DSLR camera, has external flash connection, has a viewfinder (most people will want this feature), no panorama mode, no internal memory, and missing above a5000 specs. T5 is generally 2x more than a5000. So it really depends on your budget and use. Picture and video quality is same.

• A:Answer Slow auto focus is a real nuisance. If you are shooting action, like my hobby of shooting dancers, and it's in a club or poorly lit situation, the auto focus is a shot killing enemy, with virtually all cameras. The trick to minimizing the issue is to adjust the effective ISO, or "electronic film speed" to a significantly larger number, so that the camera can focus more quickly because the depth of field increases. But this increases "granularity" in the shot, with images likely to appear grainy our coarse. And with some cameras even that isn't good enough. I own some of these. Great outside, not good for moving subjects indoors where flash will be involved. Won't name names but it is an issue.

Q: QuestionHi. I'm looking for a camera that my 11 year old daughter and I can use to take pictures of my son's baseball games - if I add on lenses, will this camera work to capture outdoor sports? I also want to use it for photos of her tennis tournaments.

• A:Answer Yes this camera comes with sports modes. There are other modes you could potentially add for a better experience. I wanted to upload a photo to show you the feature but for some reason the bestbuy app won't let me do it from th phone. Under scene selection you are given the sports action option.

We can not guarantee if the 128 GB will work flawlessly with the camera. Also the camera charges using the supplied USB cable when connected to a computer or a wall outlet. Q: QuestionWill This Camera Work for Indoor Volleyball?My daughter plays volleyball. I have been told I need a camera with a high ISO, high burst rate and a low f stop? Will this camera work to "stop the athlete and the ball"? Or should I look at the more expensive models? Also, how's the zoom? Can I zoom from 30-50 feet and still get results? Or will I need additional lenses? If so, what type of lenses does it take?

• A:Answer Hi Co_Dad, the camera has a high ISO level but can only take 4fps in burst mode. The lens has a low F-stop which is good for low light shooting but I suggest getting a lens with at least 70mm focal length to focus on shots 30-50 feet away. • A:Answer to charge the battery, open the compartment door on the left side of the camera and insert the enclosed Micro USB cord into the top slot , then insert the USB end to the AC adapter and plug it into a power outlet. A light comes on when charging .
