It is a digital camera that accepts different lenses. Also called a "mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera" (MILC), "hybrid camera" and "compact system camera" (CSC), the body is thinner than a digital SLR (DSLR) because it does not use a mechanical mirror to switch the scene between the optical viewfinder and image sensor.

Please try again later.DSLR cameras have a bunch of mirrors inside to help transfer the image from what your seeing to the memory card.. mirrorless is a lot like a DSLR but does not have mirrors inside making it mirrorless. Which in turn makes the camera less bulky and less weight. Sorry for the lack of photography lingo... Im still new to all of this.
