The best way to have an external mic is to use a hot shoe mic. Most Rhode mics are set up this way. If that is not possible there may be some mics using micro USB to hook up to the multi-port on the side of the camera.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you want to use an H1 or H4n, use them with a boom pole. I also use either with a lapel mic. There is no standard mic input on the A6000. You can get a Sony mic that mounts on the hot shoe thought.
